SINTAFOAM 1.1 WHITE TWO-COMPONENT POLYURETHANE RESIN
Formulated for fluid, flowing castings, high reproduction fidelity, paintable. Base color white.

Description:

SINTAFOAM WHITE is the version of SINTAFOAM already pigmented in white, specific for the modeling sector.

The reproductions are compact and rigid, with reasonable impact resistance.

The pieces are ivory in color with a compactness similar to that of rigid plastic and can then be painted and glued.

Painting should be avoided on those pieces that will then be continuously exposed above 40°C.

Less fluid and smooth than the classic SINTAFOAM, thanks to the longer processing time it manages to penetrate all the cavities very well and faithfully reproduce every single detail of the mold.

It does not give off strong odors and is easy to use.

Characteristics:

The most practical (and widespread) system is casting in silicone rubber molds (non-stick) but rigid molds of various materials can also be used.

In this case
– the use of a release agent is necessary, paying particular attention to porous materials,
– it is essential to ensure that the surfaces are free of humidity.
In the case of plaster molds, use of completely dry and mature material is absolutely recommended.

Sectors of use
SINTAFOAM WHITE was conceived for the reproduction of figures in static modeling but can also be used as a molding resin in other fields.

Processing tips
As with all two-component products, it is essential to work with precision, dosing the two components in the right ratio and mixing well.
The 1/1 volume ratio makes dosing easy; the fluidity makes mixing easier.
It is advisable to dose the components in two separate containers and then subsequently combine them in the container of one of the two.
Mix for about 20 seconds until you obtain a fluid mixture of homogeneous color and pour immediately into the mold.
To be sure of obtaining a perfectly homogeneous mixture, mixing should be carried out by scraping the bottom and wall of the container, interrupting halfway to be able to scrape the spatula on the edge of the container, mixing the mass again.

Use of aggregates
We do not recommend loading with aggregates to avoid compromising the mechanical characteristics.

Coloring
For color correction we recommend the use of PROCHIMA PENTASOL UN COLORING PASTES in a maximum dose of 4-5% to avoid a significant increase in plasticity.

Storage
Component A: 5-35°C. Fear the frost.
Component B: 5-35°C.
Optimal temperature: 18-25°C.

Warnings
Do not use at temperatures below 15°C.
Do not use beyond the working time, after which, in the event of an increase in viscosity, you absolutely must not add thinner in the belief that you will increase the useful life of the product.

IMPORTANT: if contaminated with water, it tends to expand due to the water-isocyanate reaction and formation of CO2. Therefore, keep the containers tightly closed, work with jars and spatulas that are perfectly dry and free of humidity, pour into dry molds and do not add water-based coloring pastes.

Tips for safe use
Wear gloves and protective glasses both during mixing and application.
Wear a mask with an activated carbon filter.
Wash the tools with polyurethane thinner or nitro thinner as soon as the work is finished.
Do not throw residues and cleaning solvent into drains.
Dispose of both the cleaning solvent and the empty packaging contaminated by the products at an authorized recovery company.
